1kg oval banneton

Proofing baskets handmade in Germany from wood pulp using a centuries-old method. Comes with an elasticized cloth to place over the top.

Suitable for loaves of approximately 1kg maximum (final loaf weight, not dough weight).

Dimensions and patterns:

• Oval banneton: length 31 cm, embossed pattern

Before first use:

• preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes then turn it off. Place the proofing basket inside for 20 minutes then remove it and let it cool completely.
• wash the cloth by hand and let it dry thoroughly.

After use:

• let the basket and its cloth air dry thoroughly (you can use the residual heat of the oven after baking bread; in this case, place the banneton in the turned-off oven)
• clean with a dry brush
• never get it wet or use detergent
